I’ve worked as a journalist for 20 years and spent a decade as a writer and editor at the Daily Express. I started my career in Showbiz and moved into Diary and News, before spending seven years on Features, mainly covering Health. Latterly, I was Books Editor for the Health section and the Women’s pages which included writing, editing, commissioning and compiling book extracts. I’ve also written for the The Sunday Times, Daily Telegraph and London Evening Standard.
As a freelancer, I have written extensively about education for the Times Educational Supplement and I ghostwrite articles for an education website. I write and edit articles for the Journal of General Practice Nursing and Journal of Community Nursing and write content for HIV charity raTrust. I also do online subbing shifts for Nursing Standard.
I edit books for Pen and Sword Books, publishers of military history and nostalgia titles. I also find authors for their expanding range of general history books as well as their new health and wellbeing imprint White Owl. If you have a manuscript gathering dust at home or simply an idea that you feel is the basis for a book, please get in touch here.
